INTRODUCTION

The Watchtower Society, in its magazine of January 15th, 1974, carried an article entitled:

The very first paragraph said:

"What results when a lie is let go unchallenged? Does not silence help the lie to pass as truth, to have freer sway to influence many, perhaps to their serious harm?"
Then it said:
"God's servants ..... have had to expose falsehood and wrongdoing and warn people of dangers and deception - not just in a general way, but in a specific way, in the interest of pure worship. It would have been far easier to keep silent or say only what people wanted to hear. But faithfulness to God and love of neighbour moved them to speak. They realized the 'better is a revealed reproof than a concealed love.' Prov. 27:5 NWT."
Nothing wrong with trying to refute.......
"There is nothing wrong with trying to refute the teachings and practices of a religious group that a person may feel is incorrect." [Awake! September 8, 1997, page 6.]
An earlier article in the Awake! magazine, [Awake! Nov. 1974, p. 28.] told us:
"As with Jesus, the motive behind the criticism was good. So the disciples were being Christian - not unchristian - in pointing out religious error."
It went on to say:
"Far from being rejected as unchristian, then, criticism based on God's Word should be carefully considered, for it can bring real benefits."
It is with the very same spirit that these files are presented. The real truth should be revealed to give people the opportunity to make wise decisions.
Making a life-affecting decision based on corrupted information will have serious, detrimental, results.

Finally, in a 1966 Watchtower magazine, came the following:

"Therefore, how will you respond when pointed statements are made about false religious teachings and corrupt practices? Will you immediately condemn the person or organization making the exposé? Do you feel it is all right to teach lies and misrepresent God's Word, but wrong to expose the error? Contrary to what some may think, it is not unkind and unloving to lay bare falsehood and corruption." [Watchtower March 1, 1966, p. 132.]

When is a cross not a cross?
When The Watchtower Society of Jehovah's Witnesses says so.

It has long been puzzled over as to just why The Watchtower Society is so against portraying Jesus as dying on a cross. The truth can now be revealed. 'It's to do with 'control'.' The organisation that controls Jehovah's Witnesses has stated that a cross is a 'phallic' symbol. That is true. However, that has nothing to do with whether or not Jesus was put to death on a cross.
In an endeavour to hide the truth from Jehovah's Witnesses, their organisation at one time used a wood engraving from a 16th century writer called Justus Lipsius.

On page 1155 of their 1969 Kingdom Interlinear Bible, they say:

"We present herewith a photographic copy of his (Justus Lipsius') illustration on page 647, column 2, of his book De Cruce, Liber Primus. This is the manner in which Jesus was impaled."
The next page showed the picture they referred to.

You would think that they have got their facts right, wouldn't you? But you'd be WRONG. The Watchtower Society has chosen to hide the truth.

On page 661 of this book, Justus Lipsius stated:
"In the Lord's cross there were four pieces of wood, the upright beam, the crossbar, a tree trunk (piece of wood) placed below, and the title (inscription) placed above."
Along with it comes the engraving on the right.

So Justus Lipsius actually said that Jesus died on a cross, and underlined his statement with an engraving of a cross.

If you think of Jesus really dying on a cross in your place, suffering an excruciating torture for you, then you begin to become beholden to Him. But you would find it difficult to picture Jesus dying on a 'phallic' symbol. Your mind is therefore directed away from Jesus dying on a cross, to obedience to a set of rules and regulations, in order to prove to Jehovah that you show your love for Him by obeying His organisation.

There is a great deal of evidence that Jesus died on a cross, for example, an early Roman graffiti, shown here on the right.
The wording on the graffiti says:
"Alexamenos worships his God",
and shows Christ on a cross.

An interesting archaeological article tells us:

"According to the (Roman) literary sources, those condemned to crucifixion never carried the complete cross.... Instead, only the crossbar was carried, while the upright was set in permanent place where it was used for subsequent executions. As the first century Jewish historian Josephus noted, wood was so scarce in Jerusalem during the first century A.D. that the Romans were forced to travel ten miles from Jerusalem to secure timber for their siege machinery." [Biblical Archaeology, Nov/Dec. 1985, p. 21.]
This is why Scripture uses the Greek 'stauros' to describe Christ's death as being in the upright position.
The early Watchtower magazines, then called 'Zion's Watch Tower', all had Christ's cross on them, e.g. the very first issue, illustrated here.
Watchtower efforts to control Jehovah's Witnesses go so far as to deny Scripture when it teaches:

In a 'Questions from Readers' article, The Watchtower Society poses this question.
"Is Jesus the "mediator" only for anointed Christians?"
[By anointed Christians The Watchtower Society means the special 144,000 heaven-bound ones.]
Towards the end of the given answer, The Watchtower Society states:
"So, in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the "mediator" only for the anointed Christians. The new covenant will terminate with the glorification of the remnant who are today in that covenant mediated by Christ. The "great crowd" of "other sheep" that is forming today is not in that new covenant." [Watchtower April 1, 1979.]

The Watchtower Society is not to be trusted even with a simple historical fact.

FILE No.2    -   Changing Truth

The Watchtower Society claims to be God's sole channel of communication to mankind today. We would therefore expect to find a solid, unchangeable body of truth in their teaching.

Their 'truths' do change, sometimes going backwards and forwards in their views. Though they try to deny this, the facts easily prove the point.
Along with this picture, The Watchtower Dec. 1, 1981, p.27, par.2 stated:

"At times explanations given by Jehovah's organization have shown adjustments, seemingly to previous points of view. But this has not actually been the case. This might be compared to what is known in navigational circles as "tacking." By maneuvering the sails the sailors can cause a ship to go from right to left, back and forth, but all the time making progress toward their destination in spite of contrary winds. And that goal in view for Jehovah's servants is the "new heavens and a new earth" of God's promise. - Matt. 7:17"

N.B. This is a lie. The Watchtower said they haven't returned to a previous point of view:

"This has not actually been the case."
O yes it has.

Soon I'll show you where they have gone backwards and forwards several times to a previous point of view. But first, paragraph 4 in this article tells us:-

"Unless we are in touch with this channel of communication that God is using, we will not progress along the road to life, no matter how much Bible reading we do.- Compare Acts 8:30-40."
But the truth is, that to follow The Watchtower channel of communication means chopping and changing teachings.

Let us show this with regard to the people of Sodom and Gomorrah.

WE ASK THE QUESTION,   "Will the men of Sodom be resurrected?"

How will The Watchtower, the so-called channel of God's communication, answer?

[1] YES, according to The Watchtower July 1879, p.8.
After quoting Ezekiel 16:53-55, it tells us:-

".... and Christ came to 'set at liberty the captives and to open the prison doors' of the grave,] of Sodom and Samaria, then will I bring thy captives in the midst of them.' (These will be raised together) In v. 55 this is called "a return to THEIR FORMER ESTATE" - restitution. ...... The 63d verse concludes the argument, showing that the promised restitution is not based on the merits of the Jews, Samaritans or Sodomites."
[2] NO, according to The Watchtower June 1, 1952, p.338.
"'Consequently I say to you people, It will be more endurable for the land of Sodom on Judgment Day than for you.' (Matt. 10:14,15; 11:20-24; Luke 10:10-15, NW) From this, some argue that there is a future judgement, in the millennial reign, for both Sodom and these Jewish cities.
If we take this expression to mean that, then it would contradict Jude's statement that Sodom had already undergone the 'judicial punishment of everlasting fire.' .... Similarly, Sodom did not endure its judgment day, had failed completely, and the Jews knew its fate was sealed."
[3] YES, according to The Watchtower August 1, 1965, p.479.
"Questions from Readers
Since Jude 7 shows that Sodom and Gomorrah became a 'warning example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire,' does that not bar the inhabitants of those cities from a resurrection? - A.C., U.S.A.

...... apparently it was not the people but the cities themselves that were everlastingly destroyed. They have not been rebuilt down to this day. ...
For it to be 'more endurable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah' than for others, it would be necessary for former inhabitants of that land to be present on Judgment Day. It is not the literal time of judgment. So apparently individuals who used to live in that land will be resurrected. - Rev. 20:12, 13."

[4] NO, according to The Watchtower June 1, 1988, p.31.

"This text has been applied to the actual cities being destroyed everlastingly, not the people. However, in view of Jude 5 and 6, likely most people would take verse 7 to mean a judicial punishment of individuals. (Similarly, Matthew 11:20-24 would be understood as criticizing people, not stones or buildings.) In this light, Jude 7 would mean that the wicked people of Sodom/Gomorrah were judged and destroyed everlastingly."

[5] YES, according to 'You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth', 1982 edition, p. 179, lines 7-10.

"By saying this, Jesus showed that at least some of the unrighteous people from Sodom and Gomorrah will be present on earth during Judgment Day. Although they had been very immoral, we can expect that some of them will be resurrected."
[6] NO, according to 'You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth', 1989 edition, p. 179, lines 15-18.
"Yes, for their excessive immorality the people of Sodom and the surrounding cities suffered a destruction from which they will apparently never be resurrected. "
[7] YES, according to 'Insight on the Scriptures,' 1988, Vol. 2, p. 985.
"Though the cities underwent 'the judicial punishment of everlasting fire' (Jude 7), Jesus indicated that people of Sodom and Gomorrah would experience a resurrection to stand for judgment."
[8] NO, according to 'Revelation - Its Grand Climax at Hand!' 1988, p.273.
"Jude 7 states that those Sodomites underwent 'the judicial punishment of everlasting fire,' meaning eternal destruction. (Matthew 25:41,46)"
What makes quotes 5 & 6 above really deceitful is that they are from different editions of the same book. Most Jehovah's Witnesses will not even realise this change has taken place.
"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;" (Eph 4:14 KJV)
The Watchtower Society has literally gone backwards and forwards, without progress.

The Watchtower Society CANNOT BE TRUSTED as God's channel of communication.

FILE No.3

This is Johannes Greber.

What did The Watchtower Society
have to do with him?

Headquarters of The Watchtower Society of Jehovah’s Witnesses

Who was Johannes Greber?

In its article, Triumphing over Wicked Spirit Forces, The Watchtower magazine tells us exactly who Johannes Greber is.
"In the Foreword of his aforementioned book ex-priest Greber says: "The most significant spiritualistic book is the Bible." Under this impression Greber endeavors to make his New Testament translation read very spiritualistic. .......... Very plainly the spirits in which ex-priest Greber believes helped him in his translation." [WT Feb. 15, 1956, pp.110,111, pars. 10,11]
IN 1956, The Watchtower tells us that Johannes Greber was a spiritualist, but they then went on to quote from his work from 1962 to 1976. In the original article about Greber, The Watchtower stated:-
".. we do not have to go to spiritualist séances or mediums. ... Obediently those who seek true, reliable information concerning the human dead and future events go to Jehovah’s teaching and testimony as found in the Bible."
[WT Feb. 15, 1956, p.111, par.12]
The Watchtower Society knew exactly who he was, told us he was wrong, told us not to go into spiritism for truth, yet they began to quote from his work.
"Similar is the reading by a former Roman Catholic priest: ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a God....’ (6)
(6) The New Testament - A New Translation and Explanation Based on the Oldest Manuscripts, by Johannes Greber (a translation from German into English, edition of 1937, the front cover of this bound translation being stamped with a golden cross." [Watchtower, Sept. 15, 1962, p.554, par. 5.]
The Watchtower Society also quoted Johannes Greber in:
If you are a Jehovah’s Witness,
CHECK THE REFERENCES OUT FOR PROOF.

In 1983 The Watchtower Society gave the following explanation in ‘Questions from Readers’:

Why, in recent years, has The Watchtower not made use of the translation by the former Catholic priest, Johannes Greber?

"But as indicated in a foreword to the 1980 edition of The New Testament by Johannes Greber, this translator relied on "God's Spirit World" to clarify for him how he should translate difficult passages. It is stated: "His wife, a medium of God's Spiritworld was often instrumental in conveying the correct answers from God's Messengers to Pastor Greber." The Watchtower has deemed it improper to make use of a translation that has such a close rapport with spiritism." [WT April 1, 1983, p. 31.]

"There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee." Deuteronomy 18:10-12 KJV.

Can you really trust The Watchtower Society?

File No. 4    -   Russell’s Biography

"Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Divine Purpose," 1959, p.63 tells us:

"‘But, is it true you have never published a biography of Pastor Russell?’
‘That’s right. ....’"
THIS WAS A LIE
Russell’s biography was published in special editions of ‘Studies in the Scriptures’ in 1923-1927. The reason for the denial is to cover over another doctrinal change. The Watchtower teaches that ‘the faithful & discreet slave’ is a class, a group, of people.

The Watchtower March 1, 1954, p. 163, told us:

"Today the facts of the past few decades show Jehovah had been using the Watch Tower Society and Jehovah’s Witnesses as a teaching organisation, anointed witnesses who make up the promised ‘faithful and discreet slave’ appointed to give spiritual ‘food at the proper time.’ (Matt. 24:45, NWT)"
BUT THE TRUTH IS:
Russell came to believe he was ‘the faithful & discreet slave’, and The Watchtower published this as a fact in Russell’s biography and other magazines.

In the actual 1924 Biography, page 7, we are told:

"Thousands of the readers of Pastor Russell’s writings believe that he fitted the office of ‘that faithful and wise servant,’ and that his great work was giving to the household of faith meat in due season. His modesty and humility precluded him from openly claiming this title, but he admitted as much in private conversation."
The Harp of God, 1921, 1927 edition, p.239, par. 420, says:
"Without a doubt Pastor Russell filled the office for which the Lord provided and about which he spoke, and was therefore that wise and faithful servant, ministering to the household of faith in due season."
The Watchtower, 1923, p.68, par. 13, tells us:
"Often when asked by others, Who is that faithful and wise servant? Brother Russell would reply: "Some say I am; while others say the Society is." Both statements were true; for Brother Russell was in fact the Society in a most absolute sense, in this, that he directed the policy and course of the Society without regard to any other person on earth."
When CT Russell died in 1916, and Rutherford became the 2nd president of The Watchtower Society in 1917, he began to change some of the teachings of Russell. The result was an exodus of witnesses who wanted to remain faithful to Russell’s teachings. Eventually, to counter this exit, Rutherford had this printed in The Watchtower:-
"It is not an unusual thing for some man, prominent amongst the brethren in present truth, to be exalted amongst his brethren. ...he begins to think more highly of himself than he should think and his brethren have their minds upon him as a great example and forget to look to the Lord. .... The one who receives plaudits of the others usually becomes impressed with his own importance, takes himself too seriously, becomes proud, and makes himself an easy victim of the Devil’s scheme. ... No truly great men have ever lived on earth since Jesus’ time." [The Watchtower, Jan. 1, 1927, p.7, pars. 43-46.]

Though Rutherford doesn’t actually name him, he could only have been talking about Pastor Russell, in an attempt to stem the receding tide of followers of Russell.

Now comes another lie:-
God’s Kingdom of a Thousand Years has Approached, 1973, p.346, par.31, states:

"From this it is clearly seen that the editor and publisher of Zion’s Watch Tower disavowed any claim to being individually, in his person, that ‘faithful and wise servant.’ He never did claim to be such."
Yet we have just read the opposite.
To admit otherwise would be to admit that Watchtower doctrinal teachings had changed.
In the first instance Russell had taught that the ‘faithful and wise servant’ was a body of people. But that changed in 1896.

This is the argument relayed in The Watchtower, March 1, 1896, p.47.

"In our examination of this text we seem to have treated the term ‘that servant’ as though the Spirit had erred in saying ‘that servant’ when it meant servants (plural), and we applied it to all true servants of God. Since then we have been met from various quarters with objections to so general an application, and the suggetion that it would be wrong to allow modesty or any other consideration, good or bad, to warp our judgment in the exposition of the inspired Word; to which proposition we agree."
And so, with a stroke of the pen, a doctrine was changed, and The Watchtower admitted that Russell was considered to be ‘that faithful and wise servant.’

So The Watchtower Society feels obligated to hide the real truth about its own history in order to maintain a ‘present-day' truth.

The Watchtower doctrines can only be considered as ‘present truth,’ and can never be considered constant. They change, and cannot be trusted. The Watchtower Society then covers over such changes with lies and deceit.

File No. 5  -  DELIBERATE MISQUOTATIONS

In "Qualified to be Ministers," 1957 edition, p. 199, par. 8, The Watchtower tells us:

"Be very careful to be accurate in all statements you make. Use evidence honestly. In quotations, do not twist the meaning of a writer or speaker or use only partial quotations to give a different thought than the person intended."
That sounds very honest, but The Watchtower files reveal evidence of deliberate partial quotations in order to use the quote to uphold a Watchtower viewpoint.
First, read the quote below.

Apparently quoting from William Barclay, The Watchtower, May 15, 1977, p.320, quotes:

".... The translation then becomes, to put it rather clumsily, ‘The Word was in the same class as God, belonged to the same order of being as God’ .... John is not here identifying the Word with God. To put it very simply, he does not say that Jesus was God." -Many Witnesses, One Lord, (1963), pages 23, 24. By William Barclay." [End of Watchtower quote.]
The ‘4 dots’ represent 48 words omitted from the actual quotation. Now read what William Barclay actually wrote.
"The translation then becomes, to put it rather clumsily, ‘The Word was in the same class as God, belonged to the same order of being as God.’ The only modern translator who fairly and squarely faced this problem is Kenneth Wuest, who has: ‘The Word was as to his essence essential deity.’ But it is here that the NEB has brilliantly solved the problem with the absolutely accurate rendering: ‘What God was the Word was.’ John is not here identifying the Word with God. To put it very simply, he does not say that Jesus was God." -Many Witnesses, One Lord, (1963), pages 23, 24. By William Barclay." [I have highlighted and underlined the 48 missing words.]
This is actually hiding the truth of what William Barclay was actually saying. It is a cunning deception, one that upholders of ‘truth’ will shun. Note also that The Watchtower is trying to hide a truth about the Lord Jesus Christ. In the Greber incident, The Watchtower used a spiritist's writings to try to hide the same point. Just how far are they prepared to go?

Another misquote is to do with a book entitled "A History of Christianity."
The Watchtower, Sept. 15, 1983, p.6, in its quote of this book, says:

"What was Christian hersey? And, for that matter, what was the Church? ... [Apostate] Christianity began in confusion, controversy and schism and so it continued."
There was a lot more quoted. However those 3 dots represent 261 missing words, among which were the following:

Part of the missing quote stated:

"But he believed, [i.e. Eusebius] that a Christian Church, vested with the plenitude of Christ’s teaching, and with divine authority to uphold it, had been ordained by Jesus right from the beginning, and had then been solidly established by the first generation of apostles. Moreover, it had triumphantly survived the attempts of various heretics to tamper with the truth it passed on intact from generation to generation." [A History of Christianity, Paul Johnson, page 43.]
The Watchtower uses the Jerusalem Church as its model for the way it rules Jehovah’s Witnesses. So The Watchtower would be loath to include the true history of the Jerusalem Church. It was therefore very selective in its use of quotation from the book. In fact, the most damning history of that Church came on the next page, again missed out by The Watchtower.
"The Jerusalem Council was a failure. It outlined a consensus but could not make it work in practice. Paul could not be controlled. Nor, presumably, could others. Nor could the ‘pillars’ of the centre party maintain their authority even in Jerusalem. They slipped back into Judaism. Then came the catastrophe of 66-70, and the central organization of the Church, such as it was, disappeared." [A History of Christianity, Paul Johnson, page 44.]
To have quoted Paul Johnson correctly and accurately would have meant showing that there was no successful ‘governing body’ based in Jerusalem, and upon which The Watchtower organisation is supposed to be based.

Other deliberate misquotes would include misquoting the New Catholic Encyclopedia, on the subject of the Trinity doctrine.

"This doctrine was unknown to the Hebrew prophets and Christian apostles. The New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967 edition, Vil. XIV, p.306) admits that ‘the doctrine of the Holy Trinity is not taught in the OT [Old testament].’ It also admits that the doctrine must be dated as from about three hundred and fifty years after the death of Jesus Christ. So the early Christians who were taught directly by Jesus Christ did not believe that God was a ‘Trinity’." [The Truth that leads to Eternal Life, p.22, par.13.]
The real quote says:
"The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is not taught in the OT. In the NT the oldest evidence is in the Pauline epistles, especially 2 Cor. 13:13, and 1 Cor. 12:4-6. In the Gospels evidence of the Trinity is found explicitly only in the baptismal formula of Mt. 28:19." [The New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967 edition, Vil. XIV, p.306.]
Again The Watchtower attempts to hide the truth, because the article they mis-quote from is an article that actually supports the concept of the ‘Trinity’.

File No. 6

ARE YOU ABLE TO THINK FOR YOURSELF?

The Watchtower viewpoint:

1. Do not think for yourself.

"Fight Against Independent Thinking
As we study the Bible we learn that Jehovah has always guided his servants in an organized way. And just as in the first century there was only one true Christian congregation, so today Jehovah is using only one organization. (Ephesians 4:4, 5; Matthew 24:45-47) Yet there are some who point out that the organization has had to make adjustments before, and so they argue: "This shows that we have to make up our own mind on what to believe." This is independent thinking. Why is it so dangerous?
Such thinking is an evidence of pride .....  "
[The Watchtower, January 15, 1983, page 27.]
2. You cannot decide for yourself.
"Avoid Independent Thinking
From the very outset of his rebellion Satan called into question God's way of doing things. He promoted independent thinking. 'You cand decide for yourself what is good and bad,' Satan told Eve. 'You don't have to listen to God. He is not really telling you the truth.' (Genesis 3:1-5) To this day, it has been Satan's subtle design to infect God's people with this type of thinking. - 2 Timothy 3:1, 13.
How is such independent thinking manifested? A common way is by questioning the counsel that is provided by God's visible organization. For example, ....... "
[The Watchtower, January 15, 1983, page 22.]
3. We do the research for you.
"How will we put these four things into effect? First, study, as involving heavy research. But in Jehovah's organization it is not necessary to spend a lot of time and energy in research, for there are brothers in the organization who are assigned to do that very thing, to help you who do not have so much time for this, these preparing the good material in The Watchtower and other publications of the Society. But .... "
[ The Watchtower, June 1, 1967, page 338 ]
4. The Watchtower should influence your every decision.
"Jehovah's organization as directed by his "faithful and discreet slave" class should influence our every decision also. How may we avail ourselves of this good influence? By doing personal research in the Bible publications of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society on whatever subject our decision concerns. This always proves to be a real aid in making clear to .... "
[ The Watchtower, March 15, 1969, page 172 ]]
5. Trusting too much is gullibility.
"Someone who trusts too much may be gullible and, as a result, easily deceived and manipulated. One classic example of .... "
[ Awake!, February 8, 1996, page 5. ]
6. Consider your steps carefully.
THE WATCHTOWER SOCIETY CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO DO YOUR THINKING, RESEARCH OR STUDYING, FOR YOU.

The Bible or The Watchtower - What’s it to be?

OR

I believe that it has been proved that The Watchtower Society is not to be trusted. If it has set out to deceive, then how can its basic doctrines be believed?

"Therefore how will you respond when pointed statements are made about false religious teachings and corrupt practices? Will you immediately condemn the person or organization making the exposé? Do you feel it is all right to teach lies and misrepresent God's Word, but wrong to expose the error? Contrary to what some may think, it is not unkind and unloving to lay bare falsehood and corruption." [ The Watchtower, March 1, 1966, page 132. ]

Listing the many deliberate alterations and errors in The Watchtower’s own Bible would take many hours. Yet truth can be gleaned even from such a corrupt version as The New World Translation.

The truth = God’s Word.

"Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth."
John 17:17 NWT.
We’re given the capacity to understand.
"But we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us intellectual capacity that we may gain the knowledge of the true one, by means of his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and life everlasting."  1 John 5:20 NWT.
The everlasting life we desire.
"And this is the witness given, that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in his Son. He that has the Son has this life; he that does not have the Son of God does not have this life." 1 John 5:11,12 NWT.
Receive Jesus.
"However, as many as did receive him, to them he gave authority to become God’s children, because they were exercising faith in his name; and they were born, not from blood or from a fleshly will or from man’s will, but from God." John 1:12,13 NWT.
Be born again.
"In answer Jesus said to him: ‘Most truly I say to you, unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God’." John 3:3 NWT.
The question is, just who is an anyone? The Watchtower Society says that Jesus meant, ‘Unless he is an anyone of the born again 144,000, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
WRONG. You are an anyone. I am an anyone. We become special when we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour.
I thank the Lord that God gave explicit instructions to listen to the words of Jesus, and not the deceptive interpretation of The Watchtower Society.
Listen to Jesus:
"This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved; listen to him."
Matt. 17:5 NWT.
The special invitation
"Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you." Matt. 11:28 NWT.
Then finally: Jesus doesn’t cast us out
"Everything the Father gives me will come to me, and the one that comes to me I will by no means drive away."
John 6:37 NWT.
Jesus, who loved us enough to die for us, will never disfellowship us. Isn’t that comforting?
To any who do not know Jesus in that special relationship, please don’t leave here without following through on Christ’s invitation.

"COME TO ME", Jesus said.

Let’s all make sure we do just that.
